With Eyes to See, You Will Never Be Shaken

With eyes to see, you will never be shaken.

When you see things in perspective, your spirit feels healthy and it manifests on your mind, heart, will and body. When you feel that the future is bleak, only then can fear seize control of the weakened state. No matter the status in life, no matter the wealth acquired, one can only enjoy life in peace when they are able to assess what is about to come.

One of my mentors has taught me that in order to calm the storms around me, I have to learn to tame my heart first. Sometimes, in our authority, we basked ourselves in calming the storms out of fear and out of need, not out of peace. God, however, has given us everything we need to live in perspective no matter how dry and how blind we feel at times.

The gift of vision is a strategic defense. It enables us to see what heaven sees. Abraham has money, but he is afraid on how God could keep His promise of a great nation. The Lord however, reassures him that his descendants will number like the stars of the firmament. When the prophets are down and discouraged, the Lord showed up and they were never the same again. Visions coming from His heart will keep us strengthened, encouraged and redirected in our purpose of being loved.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish— Proverbs 29:18

Visions could manifest as words of knowledge, words of wisdom or words of prophecy which are all essential for the tides of battle to turn around for our favor. I have learned to put things into perspective when I am aware of the following spiritual sights:

  • Oversight to see the overall picture.
  • Long-sight to see the end truth.
  • Hindsight to see what’s beyond the facts.
  • Foresight to prepare for a potential future.
  • Insight to see what wisdom to apply.

Oversight consists of the knowledge of the identity of the new creation. No matter what the situation, you will never be shaken when you know who you are in Him and what He sees in you. There is nothing that you won't overcome when you know who lives in you. With oversight, the wonders of the new and better covenant, that is, the purpose of loving as being loved by Him first, will set our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. This spiritual sight also allows us to see the blueprints of heaven and how the kingdom of God looks like on earth so we can reinvent the wheels for acceleration. This is helpful to those with Apostolic mantles.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. — 1 John 4:4

Long-sight is effective when you know the end-truth. When you have a victorious view of the end of days, your heart will always be at ease knowing that the church will always be victorious. You can never become an effective evangelist when all you see is a dark future ahead. Today, the gospel of peace has been twisted with people who are not aware of the glorious future. Soul-winning from the point of fear does more damage than bring people to repentance. The good news is that, God's goodness will always prevail and knowing this, I will never be moved by anything!

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. — Habakkuk 2:14

Hindsight is seeing what God is doing regardless of the facts we're dealing with. This is why in season or out of season, we can always operate and be victorious in Him. When Prophet Elisha's servant sees the enemy army with all their horses and chariots, Elisha is confident and is never afraid. He knows that all of heaven is with him. Good news is that, when he prayed asking for his servant's eyes to be opened, his servant saw that the hills are filled with chariots of fire! We will never be shaken regardless of what we see in the physical realm. Surely, we will overcome! Not by might, nor by power but by the Spirit of the Living God.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. — 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Foresight allows us to see what God is about to do in the near future. Once we have an oversight on what God's kingdom looks like, have a long-sight for the glorious end and see what God sees behind the scenes, we can foretell what God is about to do in our spheres of influences. Our ministries will be founded in confidence of Him and this is the work of the Lord in our lives for His pleasure. It helps us release the heart of God regarding other people. We can receive much more accurate prophecies concerning the seasons of our lives, when to move and when to be still as we discern our every step. Foresight will allow us to become more responsible with our decisions and not fall into the temptation of rushing and striving.

However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10

Insight is the practical wisdom to apply in our daily situations. It balances out the foresight we receive as we learn how to assess things in accordance to what His Word says. When we are frustrated, depressed or stressed, God wants us to rest in Him. God will help us in our circumstances. He is ever willing to build us up. Insight encourages us to be in a community. It is practical to have people to be accountable with. We can operate well when we are moving with wisdom. Sometimes, the enemy uses even the people we love to hurt us but with wisdom, we know better how to respond. We know when to help and when to set a distance. We are safe and have nothing to fear when we see the possibilities of how we should respond to people and situations and apply the best solution. God indeed, has given us everything we need to live godly lives and nothing can separate us from His love.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. — John 16:33

It is my prayer that every child of God will be able to move in different facets of our spiritual sight. When we focus our eyes on Jesus, we will never be shaken. Let's position ourselves to receive greater things and set our perspectives with Him in every area of our lives. No matter the pain, no matter the darkness, we shall see His light and be at peace and our hearts will have hope and joy. For we know that all things work together for good, to them who love God. To those who have been called to be loved. God bless you, beloved ^_^
